Welcome to Safari Companion TZ. These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings, enquiries, tours, safaris, mountain treks, Zanzibar holidays, and other travel services arranged by Safari Companion TZ.
By making a booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Safari Companion TZ provides travel and tourism services including Tanzania wildlife safaris, Kilimanjaro treks, Zanzibar holidays, cultural experiences, and tailor-made travel arrangements.
Tour itineraries, activities, accommodation, transportation, and other arrangements may vary depending on availability, weather, local conditions, and operational requirements.
A booking becomes confirmed once we have received the required booking information and any applicable deposit or payment.
To make a booking, travelers may be required to provide:
Full names as shown on travel documents
Nationality
Passport details where required
Travel dates
Number of travelers
Accommodation preferences
Dietary or special requirements
Emergency contact information where applicable
Safari Companion TZ will provide booking confirmation and relevant travel information once the required arrangements have been completed.
The total cost of a trip will be communicated to the client before confirmation.
Payment methods and payment deadlines will be stated in the quotation or booking confirmation.
Any bank charges, transaction fees, currency conversion costs, or other applicable charges should be confirmed before payment.
A booking may be cancelled or released if the required payment is not received within the agreed payment period.
Tour prices are based on the services and arrangements included in the quotation provided to the client.
Prices may change before confirmation because of changes in accommodation rates, park fees, government charges, transportation costs, exchange rates, or other supplier costs.
Once a booking has been confirmed, any additional services requested by the client may be charged separately.
Cancellation requests must be submitted to Safari Companion TZ in writing.
Any applicable refund will depend on the cancellation date, the terms of our suppliers, and the services already paid for or committed.
Cancellation charges may apply to accommodation, park fees, permits, transportation, flights, mountain arrangements, and other services.
The specific cancellation and refund conditions applicable to a booking will be communicated during the booking process.
Clients may request changes to their itinerary, travel dates, accommodation, activities, or other arrangements.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested changes, subject to availability.
Additional costs resulting from changes requested by the client will be communicated before the changes are confirmed.
We make every effort to operate trips according to the confirmed itinerary. However, changes may sometimes be necessary because of weather, safety concerns, government regulations, road conditions, park regulations, supplier issues, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where possible, we will offer suitable alternatives.
If a service becomes unavailable, we may substitute it with a comparable service where reasonably possible.
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, visas, permits, vaccinations or health documentation where required, travel insurance, and any other documents required for their journey.
Safari Companion TZ can provide general travel information, but travelers should confirm current entry and immigration requirements with the relevant authorities before travelling.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers.
Depending on the nature of the trip, appropriate insurance may cover medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage loss, delays, and other travel risks.
Travelers are responsible for obtaining insurance suitable for their individual circumstances.
Travelers should ensure that they are physically and medically able to participate in the activities included in their itinerary.
Certain activities, particularly Kilimanjaro trekking and adventure activities, may require a suitable level of physical fitness.
Clients should inform Safari Companion TZ of any relevant dietary requirements, mobility requirements, allergies, or other conditions that may affect their travel arrangements.
Kilimanjaro climbing involves physical exertion, changing weather conditions, altitude, and inherent outdoor risks.
Travelers must follow the instructions of their guides and comply with safety procedures throughout the trek.
The final decision regarding continuation, route changes, or descent for safety reasons may be made by the mountain guide or relevant authorities.
No guarantee can be made that every traveler will reach the summit.
Accommodation is subject to availability and may be changed when necessary.
Where the originally selected accommodation is unavailable, Safari Companion TZ will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative of a similar standard.
Room preferences are requests and are subject to availability unless specifically guaranteed in writing.
Transportation arrangements may be affected by traffic, road conditions, weather, mechanical problems, government regulations, or other circumstances.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide transportation according to the confirmed itinerary.
Travelers are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions provided by drivers and guides.
Wildlife sightings are part of the nature of safari travel and cannot be guaranteed.
Animals move freely in their natural environments, and safari routes may change depending on wildlife movements, weather, park regulations, and conservation requirements.
Safari Companion TZ does not guarantee sightings of any particular animal or specific wildlife event.
Travelers are responsible for their personal belongings, valuables, passports, money, electronic devices, and other possessions during the trip.
Safari Companion TZ is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our proven negligence or as otherwise required by applicable law.
Clients are expected to:
Provide accurate information during the booking process.
Follow instructions provided by guides, drivers, and accommodation providers.
Respect local communities, wildlife, cultural sites, and the environment.
Follow applicable laws and regulations.
Behave responsibly throughout the trip.
Inform us as soon as possible about any problems affecting their travel arrangements.
Special requests such as dietary requirements, room preferences, celebrations, accessibility arrangements, or specific activities should be communicated before travel.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee them unless specifically confirmed.
Safari Companion TZ will not be responsible for failure or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include natural disasters, severe weather, epidemics or pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, strikes, road closures, border restrictions, airline disruptions, or other unforeseen events.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist travelers and find appropriate alternatives where possible.
If a problem occurs during your trip, please inform your guide, driver, representative, or Safari Companion TZ as soon as possible.
Reporting a problem promptly gives us an opportunity to investigate and, where possible, resolve it during the trip.
Formal complaints should be submitted in writing after the trip within a reasonable period.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on our website is accurate and up to date.
However, descriptions, photographs, prices, itineraries, availability, and other information may change without prior notice.
Website content should not be considered a guarantee of a particular service unless it has been confirmed in writing as part of your booking.
Safari Companion TZ may use photographs or other content from trips for promotional purposes only where appropriate permission has been obtained.
Clients who do not wish to appear in promotional materials should inform us in advance.
We collect and use personal information only as necessary to process bookings, communicate with travelers, provide requested services, and meet applicable legal or operational requirements.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Safari Companion TZ will provide services with reasonable care and skill.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses, delays, injuries, expenses, or disruptions resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from the acts or omissions of independent third-party suppliers.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Some services included in a trip may be provided by independent third parties, including hotels, airlines, transportation companies, park authorities, activity providers, and other suppliers.
Their own terms and conditions may also apply.
Safari Companion TZ may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to a booking will generally be the version communicated or agreed upon at the time of confirmation, subject to applicable law.
These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Any disputes will be addressed through good-faith communication and, where necessary, through the appropriate legal or dispute-resolution channels available under applicable Tanzanian law.
